Jason Segel on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno | On meeting the president
there is not a single thing i dislike about this man.
If you aint Dutch, you aint much

It is the time of the year when I get really nostalgic about college, the tulips around town, the smell of freshly cut grass…I guess spring reminds me of Pella.
It is hard to believe it has been almost 3 years since I have graduated from Central College. Erik and I were talking last night about how we love that we are not in college anymore, but yet there are things about college I still miss.
1. Grandma’s House
2. Having a blueberry scone and a diet coke from the café every morning for breakfast
3. Checking my mailbox in Maytag more than once a day
4. Sociology
5. Malibu Rum
6. Stephanie Smith
7. Going for walks
8. 2nd Center Scholte
9. Operation Domination
10. Going to Smokey Row for Sweet Georgia Browns
I also remember the nights of last minute paper writing, drinking cheap wine, and deep talks. I discovered a lot of about myself and the world I live in at Central. I am so thankful for my experience and the people I met along the way who made such an impact on who I am today.

Deej- Remember when we had a pair of pants just like this!
This look is simply amazing! I love the floral pants with the striped top for a simple mixing/matching outfit. This look is edgy yet super sophisticated, perfection! (via This Time Tomorrow)

Baby Birdie

This is my twin.
She is going to have a baby soon. 10 weeks(ish)
I am so excited for this new addition to our family.
It has been so fun to watch deej learn and grow throughout her pregnancy. PLUS she is having a girl!
Ever since i knew deanne was pregnant (she called and told me while i was shopping in target…i wasn’t exactly prepared for the news) i knew she was going to have a girl. A little birdie girl. So that is what i call her, Birdie. Deanne and Joe are considering this as the baby’s name… and i LOVE it. She is going to be a sweet little birdie girl.
Deej and i send emails back and forth about all of the wonderful things we are going to do when that sweet baby gets here. Don’t worry, she is not living in la la land where once the baby gets here things will be how they always have been. Deanne is prepping to be an awesome mom. I believe in her and i look up to her so much.
Our johnson girl’s club is getting a new member, and we can’t wait to tell her all of our crazystories and sing her our favorite songs (james taylor).
I am so in love with the idea of being aunt dana.
So dearest twin, i know you are tired. Tired of eating, tired of crying all the time, tired of being tired. But, you are doing a great job! Don’t you forget it! That little birdie girl is going to get so much loving it is crazy.
Birdie is so lucky to have you as a mom. You are such an amazing example of what a strong, loving, and wise woman is like.
Get it Girl.
Love Lives Here.

This is just a little craft project i whipped up over the weekend.
Everything i needed for this project i found in our basement. Score.
I had an old oil painting in the basement that our neighbor gave us when we moved out of our old apartment. It was a nice gift, but not really my style. So i spray painted over the painting white. Then i stuck some sticker letters on the canvas and painted the heart around them.
It’s not perfect, but i kind of love that. I looks homemade (that is what i tell myself when things don’t turn out perfect).
It was just what i was looking for to add to our living room. The color is perfect!
It is also a great reminder to have hanging on our wall too.
I have been loving on this album.
I brake for birds. I rock a lot of polka dots. I have touched glitter in the last 24 hours. I spend my entire day talking to children. And I find it fundamentally strange that you’re not a dessert person. It freaks me out. I’m sorry that I don’t talk like Murphy Brown. And I hate your pants suit. I wish it had ribbons on it or something just to make it slightly cuter but that doesn’t mean I’m not smart and tough and strong.
-Jess (New Girl)
For some reason I saw alot of myself in Jess this episode.
Call me cliche….whatevs.
